Blakes 7 Wiki

Clonemasters (sometimes spelt as Clone Masters[1][2]) were an enigmatic race who safeguarded the secret of cloning (TV: Weapon). An ancient group of people, descendent from a group of humans, originally and then cut themselves off and removed themselves to a remote planet (AUDIO: Separation), out of fear of their technology (AUDIO: The Rule of Life). They travelled there on a ship, the Dawn Ark (AUDIO: Separation)

The city in which they lived was living and organic, with at least one area that responded to mood (TV: Weapon). Travis referred to it as "potato palace" (AUDIO: The Rule of Life), Failed experiments were deep under the city (AUDIO: The Rule of Life).

The Clonemasters were all themselves clones. The Federation protected the Clonemasters, not out of altruism, but because they knew their value and threat. The Federation also had to pay for the Clonemasters' services. (TV: Weapon).

All the Clonemasters were woman (AUDIO: The Rule of Life) and they were led by a Queen of the Clone Masters (AUDIO: Separation). When a Queen died, a new one was elected by a Conclave (AUDIO: The Rule of Life, The Conclave)., They were bound by the Rule of Life and that life must have reverence.

Named Clonemasters included Fen (TV: Weapon), Vast, Dr Sym (AUDIO: The Rule of Life) and Ryn (AUDIO: The Rule of Death).

It is said they discovered "secrets of life itself". It's not science but art, not technical but spiritual. (AUDIO: Separation)

The presence of a mutoid disgusted the Clonemasters as they saw the concept as genetically impure, to such a degree they could not mention the name "mutoid". (AUDIO: The Rule of Life).

Servalan mentioned the "untimely destruction of the Clonemasters" (TV: Children of Auron), which took place before the events of Star One (AUDIO: The Conclave, The Rule of Death)
