Nova was a convict being sent to Cygnus Alpha onboard the prison ship London. He was one of the convicts who agreed to help Roj Blake try to capture the ship. He was sent to the Computer Room to see what had happened to Kerr Avon, but the section he was crawling through was punctured by a Meteorite and it was filled with quick-setting sealant, which killed him.
