Tara was the sister of Gola and Rod on Goth. She was able to remain in the royal court after their father was imprisoned and Rod sent into exile but showed no affection for Gola and conspired with the court fool. She seemed to have powers of prophecy, partly connected to inhaling vapours, and predicting the coming of Vila and Jenna.
She disapproved of Gola's plans to pair-bond with Jenna and implied that his conflict with Rod would lead to both their deaths. Jenna told her they were searching for a secret left behind by Lurgen with a person of royal blood and would leave if they had it. After transfixing Jenna when she tried to look at her amulet without permission, Tara allowed Jenna to view it but she found it empty. Tara mocked Gola for showing fear of Servalan and let the fool discredit Vila and give Jenna a mild drug.
Tara helped Rod come into the tents so he would challenge Gola. Gola killed Rod but Tara poisoned him in the aftermath. She told Blake, Jenna and Vila that their father might have the brain print in the cells, giving them the key and their teleport bracelets and telling them to leave. She then took over as charl.
